Help my friend's Family Afford Urgent Medical Care & Basic Needs

"Dear friends, kind strangers, and anyone willing to help,

My family is facing an overwhelming financial and medical crisis. We live in Egypt, where the cost of medical care is extremely high, and despite working as much as we can, we are struggling to afford the treatments and necessities we desperately need. Any amount, no matter how small, makes a huge difference due to the exchange rate.

Our Situation:

- My mother needs hyaluronic acid knee injections and treatment for her spinal cord issues, including nerve compression from compressed discs and muscle spasms. She also has lung emphysema, making daily life a struggle.

- My father has advanced lung emphysema and asthma and requires multiple daily inhalers and nebulized medication, which we can no longer afford. His condition is dire. He is too old to find employment, so he takes on hazardous odd jobs just to help us get by.

- My brother has a deviated septum that makes breathing incredibly difficult. He requires surgery, as he is dependent on daily medication that only provides temporary relief.

- My twin sister has benign tumors in her body and thyroid, which affect her breathing and cause chronic pain and require surgery. She also needs hip impingement surgery and extensive physiotherapy due to injuries from her years in Karate.

- I have epilepsy and need daily Keppra medication, which is becoming more and more unaffordable.

- Our cats need medical care and urgent rehoming to reduce my father’s exposure to allergens, but we cannot find anyone to adopt them due to their age and health issues.

On top of all this, we are struggling to afford necessities like rent, electricity, gas, basic food, and tuition fees.

Despite our best efforts, we cannot keep up. My siblings and I all work to help, but it is simply not enough.
