Family in need , Chinderah floods.

My hometown of Chinderah / Kingscliff was hit in the recent devastating floods. Most of my family still reside there and have lost everything, including their beloved home. Like the majority of people in the area, they were unable to afford insurance ( in excess of $12000 a year ) to cover the damages.

These floods have left my sister Yolande Swan and her son Jacob Swan with nothing. Also residing at the property Jacobs girlfriend Carlee and a close family friend.

Right now, my family is in need of help to rebuild their life and with their permission, I am asking you to take some of the financial burden off of them.

I am hoping to raise funds for the following:

Eectrical from $3600- covering the cost of trades and rewiring. To ensure the property is safe.

Basic clothing $150

Basic white goods and furniture from $6000

Living expenses - to cover a short period of time while they financially and mentally recover.

Total damage costs of the home look to be in excess of $150000 at this stage.
