Family Lost All to Devestating House Fire!

My name is Kathy Smart. Many know me as co-owner of Minnie's Beach Cafe. Our cook, who after nearly thirty years, we consider our son, Kaylee, our niece who is also an employee and met and married Chuck, and their son Weston, lost their home and everything but the clothes on their back to a devastating fire and need all of our help.

Our community has banded together so many times during any emergency, I am asking for your help now. A loss like this can knock the strongest of us down. My heart burst last night, watching the firemen trying to save their little dog, Ellie. Unfortunately she did not make it. Red Cross will relocate them temporarily. But we all know the expense of moving. Mary and I are beside ourselves with concern. They are here with us now. Thru the tears and heartache Chuck said to me " I have to get some clothes so I can work tomorrow, we have all those Thanksgiving meals to get out" this is who Chuck is, always putting others before himself. (we are not open today but Mary and I will be sure to fill these orders) Kaylee, well, everyone loves Kaylee, she brightens any room she enters! Little Weston was trying so hard to be strong for mom and dad, I took him aside and let him cry his eyes out. Assuring him all would be fine. He lost his little dog, his best friend. I want this child to have a great Christmas, i want this family to see how loved they are by all of us.
