Family made homeless after apt condemned by city
Donation protected
An apartment complex in Columbus has recently evacuated all its residents due to it being “declared a public nuisance in 2021, and last month, the city attorney’s office began the process of holding the owners in contempt of court for failing to make improvements in safety, security and living conditions. Various units had bedbugs, water damage, broken windows and rotting doors. Police had responded to over 700 calls in the 18 months leading up to August 2021.”
The family that I’m trying to raise money for is very near and dear to me and as much as I wish I could simply give them this sum of money myself, it’s just not something I can do at this time.
Any funds received will go to them finding a permanent residence in a safer neighborhood so that this family can have a better chance at thriving, rather than barely surviving. Although the family is currently in a studio hotel room, provided by the city, it’s a temporary solution.
Thank you in advance for any consideration and donations made.
