Medical Expenses for Angie Freeman Alexander
Donation protected
September 2022 Update: Angie is now seeing specialists in New Orleans, and this is the latest post we have received from her. She is facing a long, difficult, and financially stressful time. Please consider donating to help out this loving family as they continue to battle with her health issues.
Several have asked for an update, so this is where we’re at as of now. The doctors here are amazing, and they have kept me busy with tests, labs, procedures, and meetings all week. I have to have another paracentesis this week to take the build up of fluid off of my abdomen. I have that about every two weeks. I have one more appointment with an infectious disease Dr. On Tuesday afternoon, then unless the liver Dr thinks I need something else, my transplant coordinator will go before the panel of hepatologists, surgeons, social worker, dietician, financial advisor, etc to present my case. This panel will decide if I can be listed on transplant list, or not. I should know by Wednesday afternoon, or Thursday morning. We are living at a hotel where they want me to stay. Once again I can’t thank you all enough for the many prayers on our behalf. This is so hard for all of my family, especially Mark, Tyler, Joely, and my mom and dad. Thanks also for every act of kindness that has been shown to us. This week we are specifically praying that I can be listed for transplant so keep those prayers coming! Thanks to you all!!!
The Class of 1988 is organizing this fundraiser on behalf of their friend, Angie Freeman Alexander. Please help this precious family with a love donation that will be used for her family and medical expenses.
Our beloved classmate and friend, Angie Alexander, was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver in 2017 and is currently hospitalized due to complications from a near fatal hemorrhage. Now that the bleeding has stopped, Angie has been diagnosed with kidney failure and will soon begin dialysis.
Before Angie’s current hospitalization and recent kidney diagnosis, she has battled and suffered immensely from her liver disease which has prevented her from working the last few years. Her husband, Mark, works and also takes care of Angie. He is currently staying with her during her hospitalization. This family needs not only our prayers but our financial support. Let us put feet to our prayers by helping two wonderful people who are hurting and in need.
Angie is such a sweet, generous soul who exuberates joy with her contagious laugh. Despite her adversity, she never complains. She’s always been willing to help others in their time of need, and now it is our turn to give back. We appreciate your prayers and support and ask that you help us share this GoFundMe campaign on your social media so that we can reach the many people who want to help Mark and Angie.
Thank you for your prayers and support for our dear good friend.
