Hello, my name is Katie Jo Earle and I am fundraising for my dear friend Laura and her beautiful family. Her husband, Anthony, Tony, 17, Leo, 4, and Elenah, 7 months old.

I have known Laura since 2010 and she quickly became a good friend. She is one of those people that makes a friend wherever she goes; i.e. the gym, the grocery store, her job, her church. She's warm and genuine with a huge heart.

Their nearly 8 month old daughter was born with a heart murmur. At first, the doctors said that it may heal on its own but they soon realized that it was a very critical situation. Baby Elenah wasn't gaining weight and her breathing was labored. The doctors found that the hole in sweet Elenah's heart was bigger than they thought and that she would need heart surgery, as soon as possible. Laura and Anthony were in and out of the ER with baby girl, sometimes staying at the hospital with her for weeks at a time. Baby Elenah needed constant monitoring and was on medication to remain stable. She needed to wear tubes in her nose to eat because breast feeding took too much energy from her. Baby girl waited nearly 7 months before she got the lifesaving surgery she desperately needed. But with surgery and constant care comes a whole lot of medical bills and a lot of missed work. In 7 short months, they owe over $100k in medical bills and that is WITH insurance.

Anthony has been a long haul truck driver for many years and in the past couple of months, amidst all the worry over their baby, he hasn't been able to get stable work. He is a self contractor. On top of that, his semi has broken down twice, requiring insanely expensive repairs that come out of his pocket because he owns his truck. Laura has not been able to work at all since giving birth to her daughter because of her health issues.

They have rent and bills piling up and they need help. A little respite to help them pay their current bills and gain some stability in this scary and stressful season of their life. They're Christians who walk in their faith, they're such good people and helping them would take care of their rent, current bills, groceries and so on. Please consider donating. Any amount will help!
