Family Needs Urgent Help For Cats After Hurricane Beryl

My name is Ashley. I'm involved in cat rescue and I've been helping a family in Spring, TX to spay/neuter their indoor cats. They have a total of 12 adults and 7 kittens.

The members of this family are good, compassionate people who deeply love their cats. They started feeding the neighbors' cats who were abandoned, and were kind enough to bring them inside their home and have fed and loved them. They have just gotten in over their head by not fixing them... That's where I came into the picture. I've fixed 5 of them so far.

Hurricane Beryl hit Houston, TX on Monday, and this family has been without power since. 2 huge tree limbs fell on their house and caused significant roof damage. Now their landlord/property manager will have to come in to start repairs, and the landlord is not aware of how many cats are in the home.

The family is now in serious danger of losing their house AND their animals when the landlord finds out. They are worried sick about their cats and need somewhere for them to go ASAP -- at least temporarily until house repairs are completed. A more permanent solution will have to be decided later.

Since I've been committed to fixing their cats, I will do everything I possibly can to help with this nightmare of a situation.

I'm trying to raise money in order to help this family find somewhere for these cats.

Whether that be a boarding facility, building a temporary shelter off of the family's property, or by donating toward a local rescue organization who would be willing to take them in.

All funds raised will go toward the cats. I'm currently reaching out to both local and statewide rescue organizations for urgent help. Once a better plan is in place, I'll be able to provide more specific information on how funds will be allocated as well as provide receipts.
