Help a Family Rebuild After a Devastating Fire

Beste broeders en zusters, Wij starten deze inzamelingsactie voor een gezin in Nederland dat een zeer moeilijke tijd doormaakt. Door een kleine vergissing ontstond er brand op hun zolder, waardoor hun huis tijdelijk onbewoonbaar is geworden. Het gezin—ouder en hun twee kinderen—had op dat moment helaas geen verzekering, wat betekent dat zij alle kosten zelf moeten dragen. Naast de brandschade is er ook ernstige waterschade, waardoor vrijwel al hun bezittingen verloren zijn gegaan. Van meubels en kleding tot essentiële huishoudelijke apparaten zoals de wasmachine—alles moet worden vervangen. Naar verwachting kunnen ze minstens zes maanden niet terugkeren naar hun huis. Als lokale gemeenschap doen wij er alles aan om hen te steunen, maar we vragen ook om jullie hulp om hen een steuntje in de rug te geven. Elke bijdrage, groot of klein, zou een wereld van verschil voor hen betekenen. Kun je niet doneren? Dan vragen wij je vriendelijk om hen in je dua te houden, want dat is minstens zo waardevol. De Profeet ﷺ zei: “De liefdadigheid van een gelovige zal op de Dag des Oordeels zijn schaduw zijn.” (Tirmidhi) Moge Allah (swt) hun beproeving verlichten, hen kracht geven in deze moeilijke tijd en hun verlies vervangen door iets beters. Ramadan Mubarak – moge deze gezegende maand jou en je dierbaren vrede, genade en talloze beloningen brengen. Alvast ontzettend bedankt voor jullie steun.

Dear brothers and sisters,

We are starting this fundraising campaign for a family in the Netherlands who is going through a very difficult time. Due to a small mistake, a fire broke out in their attic, leaving their home temporarily uninhabitable. The family  with two children—were unfortunately without insurance at the time, meaning they must cover all the costs themselves.

In addition to the fire damage, there is also significant water damage, destroying nearly all of their belongings. From furniture and clothing to essential household appliances like the washing machine—everything needs to be replaced. It is expected that they will not be able to return to their home for at least six months.

As a local community, we are doing everything we can to support them, but we are also asking for your help to give them a little push in the right direction. Every contribution, big or small, would mean the world to them. If you’re unable to donate, we kindly ask you to keep them in your dua, as that is just as valuable.

The Prophet ﷺ said: “The believer’s shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his charity.” (Tirmidhi)

May Allah (swt) ease their hardship, strengthen them during this trial, and replace what they have lost with something even better.
