The Storm After A Stroke

Hi, my name is Shelley. This fundraiser is for my brother, Shane Merritt, who went to the ER Feb 3rd not being able to use his right arm. His bp was extremely high, and they immedately started him on bp meds to bring it down. After doing a MRI they saw he had a stroke not only one but appears to have had 3 since there are 3 spots on his brain. This has affected his right side mainly his right arm. We don't know how much use of his right arm he will regain, although he has regained use of his leg/foot, he still doesn't have full use of his are, which the dr has said he may not and probably will not get back. As of today he has finally been able to get his bp under control after being on 5 bp meds.This strong, hardworking man, only 45 years old has had he life turned upside down and is struggling hard trying to keep his family afloat but its crashing down on him. The last 25 years he has worked as an electrician, but due to this he is not able to return to that field and his employer has cut his pay in half.He has two kids in high school and he is the main source of income for the family, and having his income cut in half and some weeks not being able to work a full week he is not able to feed his family and pay the bills.. A hard decision for a man to be in is deciding to feed your family or pay the mortgage to keep a roof over their heads. I am trying to raise enough to help him try to get back on track and not lose his house. If you know my brother Shane, you know he has too much pride to ask for help so if this page is up, he needs help. So I put this fundraiser together to try to help keep some stress down. Anything will help and be greatly appreciated.
