Family of 6 lost everything in Eugowra floods
Donation protected
My sister Alana, her partner Tim and daughters; Chloe (20) Abbie (12) Brooklyn (7) and grandson Chicago (3) lost everything to the Eugowra floods on November 14th all of their belongings, cars, furniture, clothes and necessities now submerged and they now face the enormous task of starting again from scratch.
The water came up so fast that all they could do was get Tim to drive the kids and their dog to the evacuation point at the showground whilst Alana went to get Chloe and get them to the showground.
Alana was unable to make it to Chloe and found herself trapped in rising water with no where to go, she made it back to her house and with the help of other stranded neighbours up onto the roof of the house using a trampoline and fencing debris that floated past, Alana and another family of 5 spent 6 hours on the roof of her house watching the water rise, and other neighbours cling to debris and trees waiting to be rescued.
The eldest Chloe managed to climb up onto the roof of her house and sat isolated and alone for 6 hours watching the neighbours trapped inside their houses unable to get to safety.
The last 24hrs has been absolutely devastating for them and any donations big or small would be very much appreciated.
