Family of 6 soon to be homeless

UPDATE: We first want to begin thanking everyone who Who has donated to us whether it was gofundme, cashapp, venmo, or money transfer. We were able to save our home and we are eternally greatful for everyone that made it happen. However going forward the remainder of the donations are going for 1 more month of rent and catching up the utilities/trash service. Brandon does start his new job 1/22. Again thank you from the bottom of our hearts everyone.

UPDATE: We were unfortunately notified Saturday 1/6 that we need to be moved out of our home by Friday 1/12 in order to avoid an eviction on our credit. We still have not found housing. The housing that we have found are on wait lists or we don't have enough for the deposit, first months rent and some places are asking for last months rent as well.

We also want to thank everyone that has donated so far, shared our story, reached out or just simply prayed. We appreciate this more then you all will ever know. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!

I am the father of 4 children, in our home is my wife and 4 kids. We fell behind on bills do to job loss the week of Christmas 2022. After losing my job, right after new year I started a new job (with a $4 pay cut). We struggled to catch up because of this pay cut.

In August of 2023 I started on a side job and unfortunately I developed a hernia in September 2023 by falling through a hole in the floor. The hernia caused me to lose time at my primary job and right before my surgery on the 12th of December I was terminated from my job due to time loss for a non-work related injury. Due to the job loss and the time I’ve had to take off for recovery from my surgery. We were unable to pay rent for December 2023 and were served with eviction paperwork. 

With being let go from my job, a couple weeks before the holiday. No jobs are willing to let me know if they can hire me until after New Year’s. We are asking for help financially to assist us in getting into a new home because my wife does not make much money in my jobs have always been the primary income in the household for 16 years.
