Family of 6 total loss in house fire

On Wednesday March 27, my family and I experienced one of the worst tragedies imaginable. My 3 year old son and I were taking a nap when my husband burst in yelling that our house was on fire and to get out. Chaos followed as we made the mad dash to make sure all 4 of our children (ages 12, 8, 4, and 3) were safely out of the house and our animals. With the help of the Vidor girl's softball team, we were able to safely evacuate our children from the property and shield them as much as possible as their childhood home burst into flames. The firefighters and police worked hard to contain the fire, risking their lives and we will be forever thankful to all the brave individuals that came to our aid. The Vidor community has been absolutely outstanding during this whole ordeal.
Unfortunately, we lost absolutely everything and nothing was deemed worth any value. We had years in our home, years of memories and possessions that all burned up in a matter of minutes. Grateful that our family made it from the blaze unscathed, the amount of work we have to rebuild is long term. We are more fortunate than others in this situation as we have another home in the middle of being remodeled to move into. It still has a lot of work left to do and with this tragedy, we no longer have the time to work around finances.
All we care about is being able to have our children somewhere they can call home again. With the support of our outstanding community, I know we can make this happen.
We have appreciated every donation, whether it was a kind word, a share, a $1, clothes, essentials, furniture. All of it. The list is so long of all the wonderful people whom have came together to help us during this time.
We are attempting to raise funds to speed the process up of finishing remodeling our home so that our children can once again have the stability that they need.
