Cameron Meddock was a son, brother, husband, friend and soon to be father.
Cameron graduated the police academy in 2013 where he was hired by Dalhart police department. In 2014 he left Dalhart and was hired by the Potter County Sheriff’s Department as a Deputy CO. That same year he decided he didn’t just want to be a cop, he wanted to give more so he enlisted in the Army where he eventually became an Army Ranger.
He was critically wounded during small arms combat in Afghanistan. Once Cameron was stablized, he was transferred to Germany to undergo surgery.
He tragically succumbed to his injuries on January 16th, 2019.
Cameron was a true American hero. A Deputy, cop, Ranger. Most people just try to accomplish one of these, yet he accomplished all three. He would always try to do for others without thinking about himself. He was the most determined, brave, and selfless person I have ever met. Plus he had a heart of gold. He will be missed dearly.
Any and all donations will go directly to Cameron’s wife Stevie and soon to be born son. This money will help with travel expenses, and expenses associated with raising a new born.
Anything will help! Stevie has a long road ahead of her but with love and support from all of us, we might be able to help her get through it. Please keep Stevie and Cameron’s family and friends in your thoughts and prayer.
