Family of Chessie Edwards and Chessie Wood

. We are asking for help to pay for her service. 

This year has full of heartaches and difficulties but the biggest heartbreak of the year came with Chessie Edwards (my mother) being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. We tried to accept the grim prognosis and prepare ourselves for what would come in 12 to 18 months. Our lives have been rocked once again when we were told that we would have to say goodbye to Chessie even sooner. Chessie has been a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a sister, an aunt, a neighbor, a sister in Christ, a friend, a co-worker, an artist and a loved one. Chessie has worked in this community at Froggy helping your businesses. She has volunteered at Calvary Baptist making your Sunday breakfast and at the church’s community food pantry. Chessie has sat next to you in church and has always been a great neighbor helping anyway she could. Chessie has always put herself last, putting her family and friends ahead of her and now we want the last of her time filled with days where she is put first. We are asking her friends, family ,and community to help us with this. We want to fill her room with cards from anyone that has been in Chessie’s life. We are also starting a go-fund me so the family can take more days off and have money for travel to see her.

This last year has been very difficult for our family but she was there for everyone throughout it all. A future without her is unimaginable and right now I would like to focus on her, spending the remaining time we have with her and making sure she knows how loved she is and how much she means to everyone who knows her. Please help us in making her feel special.
