How do you tell a story you never thought you would have to tell. On Sunday we lost one of the best human beings I have ever grown to know. Our friend Colin was an amazing example of what a man should be! He found his soulmate in his wife Grace with whom he had two beautiful children Marissa 12 years of age and Jack who will be 8 next week. He worked and lived for his family. He did every hour of overtime so his wife could raise their children and not have to work. He was the sole income of this household .They were his world. Colin and I both started as union plumbers a little over 20 years ago. Throughout his career he excelled in anything he ever attempted in our business. He was a foreman at one time was one of the most amazing deck layout men and always a leader. Later on in his career he became a shop steward and always represented his men as a true Union man. About 5 yrs ago he left our side of the business to become a nyc plumber. He started in santitation and his last spot was at the parks department. In all the time I have known him I have never come across one person that had a bad word to say about him. He was a standup guy who always wore his heart on his sleeve. If you were lucky enough to call him a friend you were blessed. I am asking for this help because I would like us to help his family until we figure out their next phase in this life. It is to help his wonderful wife in any way whether it be school supplies or medical. I cannot believe how quick this happened Just last week he was telling me how lucky he is and how much he is loving life. This came out of left field he was living his healthiest life ever and had no health issues whatsoever. There is going to be a hole in my heart till the day we meet again.
