Family of Donna Bertola

In the early morning hours of September 15th, my best friend Alex’s mom Donna, died suddenly in her sleep at the young age of 60. Donna leaves behind her two daughters Alex and Ruby, in addition to other loved ones and friends who care deeply for her. I am asking for financial assistance for Alex during this extremely difficult time, to help cover funeral expenses as well as some of her costs of living to allow her time to grieve through the passing of her mother. Alex has worked tirelessly through the pandemic helping save and care for the lives of hundreds of patients as a nurse, but her current job with an independent agency does not allocate paid time off to her. In addition to losing her mother, Alex is also losing her roommate who regularly split the costs of living with her such as rent, food, utilities, etc. Any donations to this fund would go towards helping Alex maintain her apartment and costs of living as well as funeral expenses so that she may take some time off of work to grieve and spend time with her sister during this sensitive time. Any financial assistance would be greatly appreciated.
