family affected by Waimalu house fire
Donation protected
UPDATE (6/27/23)
From the bottom of our hearts, the Cajalne family wants to thank everyone for the overwhelming love and support from friends, family, and the community. We not only met our initial goal but exceeded it!
We will still keep this go-fund-me open because unfortunately, my family does not have insurance to cover everything they have lost.
Again, if you would like to drop off any donations such as food, clothes, basic necessities, please reach out to me on Instagram @cheldale
----‐------------------------------------
Hi, my name is Chelsey Dale-Cajalne. The house that caught fire on June 20th in Waimalu was my childhood home. Back in 2020, my husband's family moved to the home as renters after my family sold it and have been living there since. My husband and I have created this go-fund-me for them to help them get back on their feet. They have found housing accommodations but need the basic necessities such as clothes, food, etc for now. They lost everything including the family car and one of the cats. Thankfully they are safe and no one was injured!
For those who don't know what happened, on June 20, 2023, my brother-in-law was cooking on a gas propane stove outside when the tank exploded. My mother-in-law, niece and brother-in-law were home at the time and they were able to get out fast. The fire moved fast and the 2nd floor of the house collapsed.
Any donations will go to my husband's family in Hawaii to recover from this disaster. If you're from the Waimalu area and just want to drop something off, you can contact me (@cheldale) on Instagram for the address to where they're staying.
