Family of Kevin and Melissa Schreiber

Kevin Edward Schreiber was born in Queens, New York to Carole and Daniel Schreiber on 11/04/1976. He grew up in Lafayette, Indiana and Waverly, Iowa before moving to Waunakee, Wisconsin where he died on 02/26/2023.

Kevin never met a stranger and loved meeting and getting to know people. He loved the New York Yankees, playing baseball, fish tanks, and anything involving nature. He loved hippie and bar games that brought people together. Kevin was the guy that was always ready to help anyone who needed it. Be it with kind words, advice, or however, day or night – unless it was early in the morning.

Through life, Kevin played many important roles. His most cherished roles were Husband to Melissa (Mennenga); Father to Markel, Elijah, Noah, Mikalah, Kaleb, and Liam; son to Carole Schreiber, Daniel Schreiber and stepson to Karen Schreiber, son-in-law to Rick Mennenga and Pat Mennenga; brother to Carole Anne Schreiber and Debbie (Owen) Brown and Uncle to Nick, Christopher, Caiden, Lexi, Jeremy, Daniel, Tenley, Nora, Milena, Jackson and Porter, grandson-in-law to Pat Mennenga, and friend to everyone.

Kevin had the most magic talent of WOO (Winning Others Over). Through the years, Kevin created community everywhere he went. His work team knew him as a friend, a strong and helpful coach, and an incredible human. These coaching skills transferred to his personal life, as he coached several of his children's sports teams. Many children in Waunakee were lucky to benefit from his passion to develop and strengthen both their athletic and personal abilities.

Human connection and a good season for the New York Yankees were his greatest joys. He developed trades like wood working, which he got to share with his sons, friends and family. He loved music, singing and dancing along to it. Kevin was the life of the party. He was always ready for fun and mischievous antics. Kevin had the best laugh, and gave the best hugs. He told the best jokes and stories. Kevin had a ready smile that melted hearts, and was always the light in the room. If one needed to sum up Kevin in three words, they would be loving, strong, and outgoing.

Kevin is survived by his spouse, children, parents, sisters, in-laws, nieces and nephews, and many other friends and extended family. His Celebration of Life Open House will be on March 2, 2023 starting at 3pm till long into the night at Spring Field Corners, 6155 CTY RD P Dane WI. Please come when you can and stay as long as you like.

Shine on, Kevin. We are all better because of you.
