Family of Maxine Widby

On Wednesday July 26th - our Mom was diagnosed with a brain tumor. She was transported to Vanderbilt hospital on Saturday. She will undergo surgery on Tuesday August 1st. She is scheduled to be here for at least 2 weeks to recover. Then she will have follow up appointments back and forth to Nashville. She will require radiation treatments on the second tumor that was found. We are on a waiting list for housing. However until that happens we are stuck having to pay for hotel rooms, food and gas. We are taking turns caring for Mom and our Dad who was diagnosed with Lung Cancer back in 2019. He is in remission but he suffers from Chemo Fog which affects his short term memory. We have FMLA to protect our jobs but we will not be paid for time off. Any financial support to help provide care for our parents while they are in Nashville is so appreciated. Update: Mom‘s surgery went well. However, last night she stopped responding. A CT Scan was done. There was fluid on her brain. The doctors had to drill a hole in Mom’s Skull to release the pressure. A drain was put in. Mom is now on breathing device. Please continue to keep her in your prayers. The doctor said we could be here several weeks.
