Family of Ramona Rouse

Dear Friends & Family,

With heavy hearts we are writing to you today with news of our mother's sudden passing. Ramona was the light of our family's lives. As we grieve, we share stories of her humor, determination and boisterous personality, as she would have wanted. Our mother instilled in us a sense of perseverance that we hold tight in these overwhelming times.

Growing up, we were always aware of her determination. With two kids, our mother pursued her bachelors degree,  graduated college at the age of 41, opened up her own hair salon in Rogers Park and traveled the world. She fiercely loved and supported those around her (usually with reggae music playing in the background).

As no words can fully embody our mothers mark in this world, we hope to celebrate her life as she lived it: with music and laughter surrounded by loved ones.

With this tragic loss at such young an age, we are finding it difficult to cover these sudden expenses. We want to celebrate our mother's life and legacy and alleviate some of the financial burden that comes with these devastating times. Please consider donating if you are able to do so. We are so very grateful for every donation during this difficult time.

The Celebration of Ramona's Life will be held at Drake & Son Funeral Home , 5303 N Western Ave Chicago, Il 60625. We'll gather in her remembrance on Sunday, January 12th at 11:00 am.

With Love & Light,
Aina & Michael
