Family of Two Displaced Due to Devastating Fire

On Friday, January 6th at 2:30 am in Peabody, Massachusetts, the home of Rafaela Nunez and her daughter Yalines Medrano were victims of a devastating fire. The two lived on the first floor of the triple-decker apartment building. Although they both escaped with no physical harm, the house was deemed a complete loss. Ultimately all of their belongings were lost. Many of their items carried sentimental values, which cannot be replaced. However, the help that they receive will be used to help them rebuild their lives.

To add to the devastation a few days before the fire, the family was hit with more trouble when their only car broke down. This situation has made the tragedy of the fire more severe since they do not have a dependable method of transportation to use at this time.

Donations will be used to obtain new housing, fix their method of transportation, and basic necessities and household items. We are aware that many may not have the financial capacity to donate due to the recent holidays, however, we know that any little donation will be greatly appreciated.

El viernes 6 de enero a las 2:30 am en Peabody, Massachusetts, la casa de Rafaela Núñez y su hija Yalines Medrano fueron víctimas de un devastador incendio. Las dos vivían en el primer piso del edificio de apartamentos de tres pisos. Aunque ambas escaparon sin daño físico, la casa se consideró una pérdida total. Finalmente, todas sus pertenencias se perdieron. Muchos de sus artículos tenían valores sentimentales que no pueden ser reemplazados. Sin embargo, la ayuda que reciban se utilizará para ayudar a reconstruir sus vidas.

Para agregar a la devastación unos días antes del incendio, la familia tuvo más problemas cuando su único automóvil se averió. Esta situación ha hecho que la tragedia del incendio sea más grave ya que no tienen un método de transporte confiable para usar en este momento.

Las donaciones se utilizarán para obtener nueva vivienda, arreglar su método de transporte y artículos de primera necesidad para el hogar.
