For the Family of Zack Willhoite
Hello Family, Friends, and the community at large,
As you may have heard in recent media, my sister -Taylor Tomblin (https://www.facebook.com/taylor.c.tomblin)
is now a widow to the late Zack Willhoite (https://www.facebook.com/busdude)
, who was one of the 3 people lost in the Amtrak 501 derailment on 12/18/2017. The other family member directly involved is Dixie Willhoite, Zack’s mother. Taylor, Zack, and Dixie shared a home together, where he was the primary earner.
My name is Bret Tomblin and as her brother I am doing my best to support them emotionally. Zack was my brother-in-law, who loved my sister dearly and will be missed by all of us. He was a bus and train enthusiast and an advocate for train safety. He worked for Pierce County Transit as long as I have known him in the IT field. He was loving and caring and I personally will truly miss him.
We have had many friends and family reach out to Taylor and ask if they can help. Many requested a crowd sourcing platform to donate for upcoming bills, food, etc. At this time due to the nature of this accident, we do not know when full access to Zack's personal accounts will be available to his wife and mother. We want to be sure that their mortgage and bills are covered. (These include everything from gas, to electic bills, cell phone, food and more) Taylor works full time but alone she cannot cover everything. The goal of this GoFundMe is to raise money for their mortgage and bills for the next three months so we can prepare for their new normal.
Zack was associated with All Aboard Washington, Pierce County Transit, and Norwescon. If you wish to donate to a charity instead of his family, AAW and Norwescon are non-profits dear to his heart.
