Quick Stop has been around for over 30 years in the Southside of Chicago. We ALWAYS stand with our community, but this was absolutely terrible. We are a family owned business owned by 2 ARAB - BELIZE BROTHERS WHO built this store from absolutely nothing. This is our ONLY source of income.
When COVID-19 hit that drastically affected our income. Sadly, on 05/31/2020 our store was looted and broken into, after leaving, our store was set on fire.
QUICK STOP was LOOTED, VANDALIZED and DESTROYED 5/31/2020. This Minority-owned business is left trying to pick up the pieces amidst mourning with the community.
WE are active members of their community. We pray in a mosque nearby, we donate to the children of our community in the beginning of the school year with fresh book bags, pencils and crayons. Sadly we have lost a store we spent many years to build, and now I have no income.
