Family Requests Your Support of Forrest Hudson

Hello, my name is Jim Humphrey and I’ve established this Go Fund Me in support of my son-in-law Forrest Hudson, who is suffering from fluoroquinolone toxicity after being prescribed Cipro (ciprofloxacin antibiotic) for what was initially believed to be a bacterial infection during a doctor visit on July 31st, 2023. Unfortunately, the antibiotic was given prior to confirming if a severe infection existed that warranted Cipro.

For those who may not be familiar, fluoroquinolones can be effective in extreme bacterial infections, but this was not one of those cases. There have been so many recorded cases of patients becoming “floxed” (meaning the body has suffered mitochondrial damage) in recent years that it has been labeled by the FDA as having the potential for severe disabling side effects and causing damage to muscles, tendons, joints, cognitive function, and the central nervous system. All of which Forrest now suffers from daily.

In some extreme cases, patients also develop psychological cognitive impairments, driving them to feel as if most things around them are now toxic. This “mental toxicity” causes depression, social withdrawal, indecision, and confusion, all of which exacerbates their physical condition.

As a result of these debilitating effects, Forrest has been unable to work in any capacity. Even though family has assisted as much as possible, there is great financial stress on his wife and their two young children, ages 5 and 2.

After much research, consults, and discussions with medical specialist in this very specific area, a clinic was located in Florida that specializes in this form of fluoroquinolone toxicity. For the next six-months Forrest will undergo numerous therapies, injections, and transfusions in attempts to detoxify his body, and heal damaged tissues. Additionally, he will get assistance to help reverse the cognitive impairment that the toxicity in his brain has caused.

As you can imagine, this form of intense treatment will come at a great cost and much of it does not fall under insurance. For those who may not know Forrest personally, he is a man of the highest integrity and a self-reliant guy. He has the best work ethic of anyone I’ve known and he has owned a successful business since he was a teenager. He is a wonderful father, dedicated husband, and Christian.

Forrest would never ask for assistance, but I am, and desperately want to see him return to the man he once was. Funds and prayers are needed.
