Family support (Juan, Reyna & Judith(passed away))

Hi everyone, I really need your help, both me and my brother. Judith P Hartman was a RN at Sibley Memorial Hospital in D.C, but I know her as my wonderful grandmother who has been with me since the days my brother and I were born. Over the past 3 months, she has been in and out of the hospital and rehab battling issues of oxygen levels and strength in her legs, and on July 15th, she was sent to the hospital and immediately got put on intense care and high flow oxygen. It was so hard to watch her decline so quickly. July 16th, she started comfort care at 7 pm. Her heart rate was averaging 150 bpm for over 24 hours, which is not healthy, and sadly we knew her lung issues and pulmonary hypertension, she would die soon. And sadly, Judith has passed away peacefully around 3 am, after receiving all the comfort care she needed. Judith’s daughter and Juan and I’s mother, Lisa Davis Saavedra, passed away in 2020 leaving Juan and I with Judith (our father passed away in 2004 before I (Reyna) was born). Our grandma is the only close family we have, and we don’t have a lot of money and our house survives on her social security and penchant alone, and now, we don’t know what to do. Juan, on the autism spectrum, was in a car accident in late February almost but luckily not paralyzing him, but caused him to wear a back brace for 3 months, leaving him without a job. I am currently a sophomore at Columbia University on a full ride scholarship, and trying desperately to get a job or work study, but I know that may not be enough to survive. Juan and I cannot afford to survive on our own. We also have a 13 year old dog named Roscoe, that is dealing with allergies and arthritis that has flared up the past month which led to an animal hospital visit. We have difficulties getting food and when my grandmother passes, which will probably be very soon, we will have to move and find a new place to live. We are asking for $20,000 to help with bills, getting food, and getting a new home or somewhere stable to live in for a bit. Any amount helps so much, so very much. we are so appreciative of everything given to us or will receive and Roscoe will too. Love you
