Family Of Five Keeping Hope Alive

This was their home. This is where their baby girl took her first steps. Where their father taught their oldest son to swing a bat, where their youngest son first said “I’m going to be a pediatrician”. Now, in the blink of an eye, it’s condemned. One night, one giant tree and one strong breeze, and all of a sudden all is lost. Imagine coming home from a hard days work, from the restaurant you bleed to run. It’s freezing cold and you realize your home is destroyed. Electrical wires are flying about in front of your home and a massive tree has fallen through your attic and into your living room. This is what happened to Big Papa Smokem, a local business owner and the Chapé family. Two boys age 9 and 6 and their young baby blessing 18 months old. We can help. As friends, community members and just compassionate Americans let’s bond together and help with whatever we can. They have things they need to replace and a home to find.
