Fantasia young

My name is Myra Lopez, On August 17, 2019, my niece, Fantasia Young, just after dropping off a friend, her vehicle was struck on the driver's side of her car by a drunk driver, in which she took the majority of the impact and suffered catastrophic injuries. Fantasia is 20 years old, and was about to begin her third year of college and is still fighting for her life after almost three months in a trauma center in San Bernardino, California. The intoxicated driver ran a red light destroying both vehicles. The driver was not hurt, however, Fantasia's life and her family's lives will forever be changed. Fantasia is currently in Orange County where her parents are being trained to take care of their daughter 24/7 in order to care for her at home. Fantasia suffers from severe head trauma and has undergone surgery for a fractured pelvic and femur, and is being fed currently by a g-tube. in order to obtain nutrition because she is unable to eat. She is in a semi coma and non responsive at this time. Fantasia will be undergoing extensive physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and dental repair will be needed. Because the at fault drunk driver did not have insurance Fantasia's family is in dire need of donations in order to modify their family's home bathroom and vehicle for transporting her. Fantasia's parents are very humble and have never asked for help, however, under the circumstances, they are in a critical financial crisis. They also have a 17 year old son in his senior year of high school who has not been able to spend much time with his parents due to this tragedy. They have been by their daughter's side since the accident and have exhausted all vacation, sick, and FMLA benefits. The family's home needs to be modified prior to the family being able to take her home. Currently, the only bathroom they have is equipped with a bathtub which needs to be removed in order for them to safely bathe her regularly. ADA modifications also need to be in place throughout the home to accommodate her wheel chair.
At this time we ask and thank you for your continued prayers and any donations for my niece, Fantasia, and our family. If we could get enough donations to make this happen by December 1st, which is Fantasia's date to come home, this would truly be a Christmas miracle for our family!!
