Fantasy Medieval Film Project
Donation protected
Hello. My name is Ruben, and I am filming an independent film of a fantasy medieval adventure, loosely based on Dungeons & Dragons, and filmed mostly or entirely within Humboldt County, California; generally within northern California. I plan on submitting this finished full-length feature film to film festivals; posting it on the Access Humboldt television station, and other willing television stations; submitting it to local and other movie theaters; and posting it on YouTube.
In this project, we will be filming in locations that may cost some money for rental fees, permits, insurance, and other location expenses. I plan on filming primarily in real live locations for the scenes of this film, and relying less on filming in front of a green screen. Filming in real live locations may have fees associated with them.
In our next filming location, it will cost exactly $231, for one-day event insurance.
Any amount of money you are willing to donate will go toward helping to pay for these expenses; any donated money left-over will go toward paying for costumes and props, and other miscellaneous expenses, as relating to this film project; none of your donations will be used for personal profit. If there is somehow any money remaining after this GoFundMe webpage deactivates, it will be used for a future film project.
If you do donate to this film project, you will be listed as a Donor of this film, and the name that you give and post on this GoFundMe webpage will be listed in the end-credits of this film as a Thank You, unless you clearly state to me by e-mail or letter that you do not wish to have your name appear in the end-credits of this film.
Once all these needed expenses of this film project are fully covered, this GoFundMe fundraiser webpage will get deactivated, due to its purpose being fulfilled, even if the amount of money donated to this project is under the maximum amount requested in this fundraiser. I only chose the $10,000 amount, because it was told to me by the Film Commission that $10,000 is generally a good amount of money to get anything done in an independent film that needs to get done.
The more funding we can get for this project, the more successful it will become as a whole, and the better the locations, props, costumes, and quality will be in telling the story of this film. Any amount of money you are willing to donate for this cause, will be very helpful, and greatly appreciated. Thank you.
