Help the family of Ian Davis

Dear friends and family,

We were recently shocked by the sudden and tragic loss of our dear Ian: father, husband, brother, son and friend to so many of us. Ian passed while doing what he loved, fishing with a close friend. His death was the result of an unexpected health condition that no one saw coming and we are all reeling from the loss.

If you were fortunate enough to know Ian, you recognize how special of a person he was. It wasn't just that he could sell you a bag of sand at the beach (which he could), or that he really knew how to have fun. Those were just little extras that came with the rest of him. At his core, Ian lived to a high standard of principles that demanded respect. The exceptionality of his being is evident in the number of people who now mourn for him. We can hear it when we remember every time he said "I love you", even after a short phone call. Ian told it like it was. When he said he loved you, he meant it. We can see it in his beautiful family, a wife that has been by his side for nearly twenty years, and two kids who beam with the happiness and comfort that comes with having a father that will go down the slide with you, dance with you, and sing your favorite kids song with you up on stage in front of a crowd.

In the coming weeks we will find a way to honor Ian in a way that fits the wonderful soul that he carried. Until then, everyone is encouraged to find that
part of him inside of us and hold on to it. Awaken the memories of him and relive them. Keep that part of him alive so that we may all continue to share his presence when we do come together in his name.

Ian is survived by a beautiful family, whose lives have been shaken. His wife Lindsey, daughter Tula and son Finn, will continue to carry his light. In the wake of Ian's passing, they will be confronted with a number of financial challenges: mortgage, childcare, education, and unforeseen expenses. We are asking for anything you can give to help them start again and rebuild their lives.

Please help support Ian's family as they recover from this devastating loss and try to mend their hearts.
