Fari Chipumha - Breast Cancer

Donation protected

My Sister’s daughter, which makes her mine as well came to America in October 2017 vibrant and excited to open a new chapter for her family. Home, in Zimbabwe was not the best place to continue raising her 3 beautiful children (ages 3,8 and 14) at that time. With all the political violence and no jobs, it was hard to support the family.
She hustled in the fashion industry, renting wedding gowns and evening clothes, it just did not balance.
They agreed with her husband for her to head out to the USA and once she settled, they would come and join her.
She came in and settled, her husband and children joined her. After sometime as she was going to visit the doctor to have her diabetes checked, she has low sugar, she missteped out of a truck and fell and sprained her ankle and we were there to support her.
All else was going well until she went for a regular wellness check and was diagnosed with breast cancer. Wow! She had just started working and looking forward to helping her husband but not so fast, this happens and now is unable to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
please help my daughter gain her confidence back, to support her family whilst she goes through chemo therapy every two weeks. It’s hard for her to cope with this new trial that has invaded her home and at the same time not knowing wether she will make the bills or not. As we all know, the bills will never stop wether you are sick or not!
Any donation will go a long way and make a difference to this beautiful family. There is no amount too small, it will add up!!

This is her story:
My journey began on that day when you have your routine mammogram and the lady says she needs me to come back for further testing.
I was told I had breast cancer, an aggressive form called triple negative metastatic breast cancer. It was a big tumor and had already spread to my lymph nodes.
The timing was really crappy as I had, after a long search, finally got a job that worked around work and children’s schedules. We were finally making ends meet. It took a while to acknowledge the news and in an effort not to spoil Christmas, we told the kids and family members a month and a half after diagnosis.
I began chemo in January and we always tried to remain positive and in good spirits for the sake of the kids. I’ve been blessed to be surrounded by family and a loving community who have eased the rough days.
The cancer also moved to the skin on the breast. This was extremely painful and lead to a successful mastectomy.
Thinking we had overcome the battle, we were informed that the cancer had metastasized to the bones, namely ,back, spine, pelvis, shoulder and more recently the face.
The solution offered to me in my situation was to manage pain and growth and I am now on a chemotherapy and radiation regime.
I have been exploring complementary healing and found a beautiful place in Arizona. They look at the body’s deficiencies and build the immune through diet and supplements. This makes a failing body strong enough to withstand further chemo and radiation which destroys both the good and bad cells.
I remain positive and hopeful and strengthened by the knowledge that my 3 babies and their dad need me. The current challenge is raising 32k for 4 weeks treatment in Arizona. But also trying to work through the day to day household issues which have all been tipped onto hubby’s plate. He never complains but I worry about his well being as he has to be strong and provide for his family.
I remain hopeful and trust that God has purpose and know that the the light comes after the night!
