Farm Family in Need of Assistance

Living 10 minutes from Charlotte Harbor, our farm was hit very hard.

We lost the roof on the family room along with several solar panels, the ceiling caved in and water has damaged much of what was in the room. The roof is damaged throughout from whatever impacted it.

The 150+ Mph winds ripped off the barn's roof, ripped out the car port, and the lanai.

We spent almost the last of what we had to buy a generator to be able to run the freezer to preserve our frozen farm meat. And then gas ran out everywhere, and the flooding closed off roads in all directions.

We had two electric poles go down, damaging my electrical equipment in the home and we remained without power for 11 days. Still have no cooling as our entire unit needs to be replaced. Cell service was down for almost a week. It's now been nearly a month since I have been able to work as the internet grid is still down in our city and cell service is spotty.

All the farm animals' food was destroyed, and we are working to replace it and do some repairs to our home and theirs. Everything connected to insurance is backed up, and we are still unaware if we have enough coverage to cover all the damages. It has been nearly a month since the hurricane and we have had zero assistance. Mildew is setting in now and causing respiratory issues. These funds would go to making emergency repairs and helping keep the family afloat and fed while we work towards reestablishing a steady income.
