Farm Without a Safe Barn
You can make a difference by donating today to Farming for the Future Academy Inc. Our precious farm animals were attacked by dogs and hurt our Therapy Goats badly. Our farm is used to teach life skills, give therapy and joy to our veterans residing at the Veterans' Home and to many people, young and not so young, with diverse abilities. Our farm is used as a place to grow, learn, relax, engage and socialize. We have many programs so all may be involved that need us, but with the recent attack on our animals we are not able to continue programming without a safe place for them at night. With your help we will be able to purchase a low profile barn that we will be able to enclose all our farm animals at night to keep them safe. Please visit our farm (sorry, no dogs please), and see what amazing things we are doing and maybe become a volunteer, your help is needed.
Poor Ringo...he lost most of his right ear and his nose has several teeth punctures wounds.
Sweet Edith still has a drain tube running from her upper right thigh to her knee. She has an abscess that needs to be cleaned daily and stitches running to her inner thigh.
When our animals are healthy and safe we will resume our programming, but please help us raise the funds to purchase enclosed shed/barn so our animals can get back to work and be enjoyed by those we serve and our community.
