Faroe Islands Podcast: Economic Stimulus Edition!

After 18 months in lockdown, the long-running, award-winning, and nutrient-rich Faroe Islands Podcast is heading back to the islands to record more episodes.

As the name might suggest, the Faroe Islands podcast explores the news, culture, and people of the Faroe Islands. On this trip, we'll record another live show at the G! Festival, go in search of forests in a country largely devoid of trees, and delve more into the immigrant experience in the Faroes. Plus more interviews with interesting people, music, and surprises are in store.

With the tourism economy in the Faroe Islands taking a major blow during the pandemic, we're also using this campaign as a mini-economic stimulus. The money raised in this campaign will be spent at local businesses in the Faroes. We're using this to cover the expenses of the trip including, lodging, transportation, and meals. The more we raise, the more we will spend. In short: if you donate $30, we're taking that $30 to the Faroes and leaving it there. We usually try to keep expenses down during these reporting trips, but this time, our goals are a little different.

We know the pandemic has been rough on some people's finances. But if you have the ability, please kick a few dollars into the tip jar, and we'll make more episodes and share them with everyone, even those who can't donate this time. And we'll try to boost the Faroese economy in some tiny way.
