FARSLEY CELTIC DEAF FC NEED YOUR HELP TO RAISE MUCH NEEDED FUNDS.
We have yet again qualified to compete for the Deaf champions league title, this years competition will be taking place, in Athens, Greece between the 20th April - 27th April.
It is estimated that this trip will cost in excess of £10000, this is to get our team over there, hotel, food, transport, training kit and physio costs. The boys are ready to give this their best shot and hope to be crowned as champions of Europe. Most of the lads are students or in low income jobs.
We desperately need your help to fulfill their dream. FCDFC is run by volunteers, not one person involved receives any income. We rely on sponsorship to enable us to continue to run this club and to be able to compete year on year. We have recently won the England Deaf Football north league for the third year running and we are on track to win it for the 4th successive year. Last season we won EDF challenge cup and we were runner up of the BT disability cup, which was shown live on TNT Sport…. So far this season, as well as being current leaders of the England north Deaf league we are also 1st in the West Riding Flexi League (hearing football league) Now we have another chance at the Deaf Champions league. Last year was disappointing, we finished 10th overall but learn some very valuable lessons which we use to our advantage this time round. Our squad is even stronger, more experienced and better prepared. We think it’s fair to say we are on a good run currently and hope this continues, it can, but only with your help.
If you can help in anyway or by simply donating what you can afford to this crowdfunding page it will be greatly appreciated. We also have sponsorship opportunities, each player is trying to raise £350 each to fund this trip, so if you would like to sponsor a player to help them, while giving your business great exposure for a worthy cause please see our social media pages for contact details. Thank you for taking the time to read this, with your help we can try and bring the trophy back to Yorkshire!
