Assalamu Alaikum,
On the 3rd of February our beloved Farzana Farhat returned to Allah SWT.
She was a loving and caring person, looking out for all those around her.
This fundraiser aims to raise money for her as a means of Sadaqah Jariyah. This is since the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “When a person dies, all their deeds end except three: a continuing charity, beneficial knowledge and a child who prays for them,” (Hadith, Muslim).
The funds raised will be to build wells in Pakistan via Human Appeal, unless the family specifies otherwise. Each well should cost $450 AUD, and should supply clean water to the local community. The Prophet Muhammad PBUH stated “Providing water is one of the best forms of charity”.
A beautiful reminder to all regarding charity:
Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Charity does not decrease wealth, no one forgives another but that Allah increases his honor, and no one humbles himself for the sake of Allah but that Allah raises his status.”
