Fashion Show for a Purpose: Help Pro Mujer

Hello!

I'm Ella, a rising senior from Austin, Texas, and I have been spending my summer designing a fashion show that is representative of my Mexican American culture. On a recent trip to Mexico, I visited multiple markets and fabric stores to source textiles that I have worked into thrifted pieces from back home in the US. I have 15 pieces I would love to share with an audience. These pieces not only represent my love of fashion, they also represent my heritage. Like the pieces, I am part Mexican and part American, with both parts playing an equally large role in my life. In addition to this, I want to create more good in the world with the donations I am collecting from the show. These funds will go to Pro Mujer, a non-profit organization that works to improve gender equality in Latin America by empowering women through business, another passion of mine.
