A Father’s Plea for Financial Support in the Search for His Son

Hello, my name is David Robinson. I’m the father of geologist Daniel Robinson, who has been missing since June 23, 2021. My world turned upside down that day, and I’ve spent every moment since tirelessly searching for him. I’ve traveled to Arizona, organized searches in the desert, and sought help from every possible resource—all to bring my son home.

I have taken on much of the financial burden, using every available resource to continue the search for Daniel. Throughout this journey, I am deeply grateful for the unwavering support I’ve received—through donations, volunteering in the desert searches, and helping distribute flyers to raise awareness. Your kindness fuels my determination.

The financial burden has been overwhelming. I have accumulated a debt of over $70,000 due to the costs associated with search efforts and my ongoing commitment to find answers for Daniel. Despite these challenges, I refuse to give up. My son is worth every effort, and I won’t stop until I see him again.

This GoFundMe is a call for help to cover the debt accumulated from my search and efforts to find my son. It also will help fund the upcoming search plans for spring 2025, where I hope to search areas of the desert that were not covered previously. Searches were paused for almost two years because of funding and my work to advocate for the 600 thousands of Americans who go missing every year by running for office and in other areas.
