Fatal Crash Takes Mom; Son Survives Crash
Donation protected
On May 24th 2021 My 66 year old mother Edna Saliva and 39 year old brother Jhasoa (Joshua) Agosto were in a fatal car accident that resulted in my mother passing away instantly and leaving my brother in ICU fighting for his life.
He is still in critical condition but stable. He sustained major injuries that night. 10 fractured ribs on his left side, other ribs fractured on his right side, hair line fracture to his neck, whiplash to all his organs causing his spleen to rupture and was removed, his aorta torn which was given a stint, including other major surgeries for his rib cage to have metal plates to help his lungs, plus a surgery to remove a blood clot to his leg and he is currently on a ventilator with a trachea.
With the love and prayers from many strangers and family he has gotten to the point of his journey that he is able to breath better on the ventilator and is able to be responsive and answer commands, as well as be expressive and mouthing his answers to us. Which was such a relief for us due to the fact that he also sustained a brain injury. He has motor skills that aren't healed yet and we know he will have a long road ahead for his mental state as well.
Yesterday was the hardest part of this journey. With our family and the Father of his Church he works for Holy Spirit Catholic Church, we told him about our mom and the tragedy that occurred. Him being able to understand what happened; my brother being a Music Minister thought of her soul and requested we pray for her. In that moment we knew what a selfless person he is. Being completely tubed up in almost every part of his body, he thought of her first.
We are in need of paying his rent as well as any medical fees. He shared a home with our mom and they just moved in to this place in March of 2021 from New York. We were blessed to have celebrated my moms birthday April 22nd and Mother's Day. We want him to focus on his recovery and not worry about any medical expenses or his future as far as his living space that they just acquired. He is such a devoted Music Minister. He has touched and impacted many people with his voice and teaching skills for music. As an opera singer and self taught classical pianist, he has contributed much of his life to music and using that to guide and create passion for many. Opening his heart to complete strangers in their time of need as well as giving his life to Jesus Christ Our Lord in Savior. Working many music ministries through out New York City and Florida, my brother truly has touched many peoples lives.
Today we ask that you help in any way possible. From $1 to anything you feel in your heart. We had no idea what amount to request because it was hard for usto come up with a number. To ask for this help for him is difficult and delicate for us because he is such a selfless person, he is would never want to burden anyone. We do know his rent is $1200 a month and as far as lights and water we are unsure. Also any of his medical fees we are also unsure. But again anything will help him. We are also opening a bank acco

will never deny a thing and can provide an address as well for him to receive these things. Thank you for your time and please share this to get him the help he needs.
PLEASE NOTE: The GoFundMe is started by Ginger Agosto the oldest sister of Joshua Agosto aka (Jhasoa Agosto). Jennifer Brown aka Jennifer Agosto my sister-in-law, the wife of the youngest sibling Giancarlos Agosto, is a beneficiary. Why? Because Josh is in the hospital and can not pay his bills himself. We were and still are unable to get his current bank information to start depositing in there for him. So she is the one withdrawing into the bank account she opened for him. This account is a secondary account she has now for him under her name. She will be using this to be able to pay his expenses (rent, lights, water etc). Why? Because they are closest living next of kin for my brother Josh. We started to pay his rent last night because it was finally being deposited from GoFundMe. The page said it takes about 2-5 business days once you initiate withdraws. As I promised you all I will share on my Facebook page (ginger Agosto-Calderon) what we are paying so that you guys can feel less anxious as to where the money is going. As of last night we paid 2 months of rent. I intend to share screen shots of the receipts on Facebook. (Also Zelle only allows $2000 at a time within a 24 hour period so we are sending more for his rent when we are able to). I appreciate everyone’s help.
With Love and Light to All,
