Father of 6 - Kidney Transplant Fund

My co-worker was dying from kidney failure caused by a genetic condition. He was on the waiting list for over 3 years and every living donor attempt failed because his blood type is rare and a tissue match was difficult.  Even though I am 64 years old, I decided I couldn't watch this man die leaving his children and wife behind so I decided to apply...By the grace of God I matched.  I donated my kidney 6 weeks ago and we are both on the mend.

His loving wife took time off from work with no pay exhausting all of her leave to care for him and help him recover. They also have medical expenses not covered by insurance and the deductible to meet. This has caused a huge financial strain for their family at a time when they need to focus on recovery and not worry about finances. 

I created this fundraiser to try to help soften that blow. They have 6 beautiful children and could use all the HELP they can get.

I gave my kidney to save his life, can you please give a little financial support?

We were interviewed by a local news station and our story is aired to help raise awareness for kidney donations and kidney disease.
