Father of 8 needs emergency help with bills

My brother, 42 year old Eric, is suffering serious post Covid side effects, damaged lungs and a damaged heart.

Despite taking precautions and being vaccinated, he was hospitalized in the ICU for Covid in 2020.

His health has steadily declined since then. Once again this week, he was in the ER (on his 19th wedding anniversary) to treat his heart condition. As an insulin dependent diabetic he can not use steroid treatments and he needs to be cautious with treatments.

He is the main income provider for his eight children.

For now, he needs to stop work and rest and work with his doctors.

To alleviate his stress is a major goal. We’d like to take one worry off his mind.

Currently he has a loan on his car to pay off in addition to repairs.

We’d love to raise funds to pay off this debt for him. Anything extra raised will go to other household bills including medical.

Eric has also had to pay out of pocket expensive for laser eye surgeries to keep from going blind. We're hoping to keep these treatments ongoing as well.

"I don't know how to word this. I'm at an impass in my life. Monday I called 911. I had a heart episode. My heart rate was 160 sitting still. I couldn't lower it. I've worked myself so hard my heart and lungs can't keep up. I've been working as hard as I can for eye injections and laser surgeries to prevent blindness. My car is having timing issues and I still owe $5225 on it. I don't want to ask anyone for anything but I can't work till I have a heart procedure and I don't know what to do. My lungs are at a low capacity so I struggle to even have conversations sometimes. I'm emotional just writing this as I'm used to being the one with a solution or willing to help whoever else is in need. I'm just sick of being sick and hope maybe just maybe it will all work out. 4 times I've had adenosine and 4 times I've felt my heart rate drop and come close to stopping. It's more then I'd wish on anyone."
