Father of Hope Outreach Ministries (Uganda)

Hello, my friends and family! I wanted to share about an opportunity to partner in ministry with a friend of mine. In October and November 2023 I spent about five and a half weeks in Uganda, Africa, visiting my good friends who live there as missionaries. Their names are Tim and Jill Way and they serve there with their daughter Hannah. While there I joined them in some of the ministry that they do, which is focused on evangelism and gathering people into small group fellowships, which are like simple churches. They also trains other Believers in Uganda to do the same with the hope of starting disciple-making movements.

At one of these trainings I met a pastor named Benon Mugabi who has started a Christian ministry called Father of Hope Outreach Ministries. They are involved in ministry to children in need, some of whom come from poor families and some of whom are orphans. They do this by meeting material needs and providing school supplies and paying the fees required to attend school. The ministry also provides these children with Gospel books and Bibles and is involved in evangelistic outreach in the communities where they serve. Currently they are supporting 200 children in Uganda. In the future, Pastor Benon hopes to build a skills training centre to equip the children they support with skills for the workplace (skills like tailoring and welding).

Pastor Benon has asked me to partner with him and his ministry by sharing their need for support with my family and friends in North America. I would like to ask you to consider and pray about partnering with us. If you do decide to pray and then believe that God may be giving you this as an opportunity, you can decide whether this means support through prayer or finances or both, or even some other way. And maybe it would be for an ongoing basis, or perhaps once. I just invite you to pray about it. With regard to financial support, I have set up a gofundme venture in order to raise money and send to Pastor Benon. All the finances will then be sent to him. He will then use it where he feels it is best to use it, but I can say that it would certainly be going toward the work of the ministry—whether it is sponsoring a child in need, or helping with the construction of a school building, or providing school supplies and books, or helping in their evangelistic efforts and gospel materials, or providing a clean water source in the community.

I think this is an opportunity to support God’s Kingdom Work.
