Father-Daughter Mission Trip to NYC

My dad and I are going on a mission trip to NYC!

Dear Family and Friends,

I’m writing this letter to you to tell you about a very special trip! This upcoming summer I will be taking a missions trip to New York City to share the Lord's Word. I was chosen to go along with a crew from my church including my Dad. I am asking for your help in praying for me and in helping me raise the money I will need so that I will be able go.

The trip will take place October 25th - November 1st and it will be in Queens, New York. The cost of the trip is $1,200.00 for each participant. This amount will cover food, airfare, and materials. All members are responsible for raising 100% of his or her financial support.

Purpose:

Going on this mission trip could mark a huge milestone in my journey with God. I am going to share the Good News of Jesus Christ, our Lord and God. While we are in New York City, we will be serving in ministry centers to teach ESL to refugees. We will also help out in children's ministry and possibly park outreach in these ethnically diverse communities. During our time on this trip, we will also have the opportunity to minister to Muslims, Hindus, and Sikhs from different countries around the world, and to people coming from places like South Asia and West Africa.

While I attend this trip I hope to learn how to share the gospel instead of bottling it up and keeping to myself. I hope to be able to share more freely, learn how to speak out loud, and have a strong voice in a group. I am really hopeful that I can help others find their faith in God so that they might be saved from a very dark place.

I’m sending this letter to you to ask if you would be willing to help me fulfill this dream, go on this journey, and partake in this experience. Any assistance you could give would be GREATLY appreciated and I would be very grateful.
