Father's Terminal Illness - Household and Medical

Hi,

My name is Dawn, and I am raising money for my son and his family. My son has a rare and severe form of Crohns disease along with Lupus and is unable to work (he is on home hospice). At this point, his days are numbered, but life and landlords simply don't care. His wife works but she is barely bringing home enough to cover gas and groceries. It doesn't even begin to cover the expense of his medications. As you can see in the picture, he has a young family, and no one ever knows how difficult a terminal illness is on a family until it hits their family.

For the past year, I have been able to carry what they needed on my own (for the most part), but I have been unable to find a job after my layoff and have run out of savings.

I was short on rent for them this month and the landlord is running out of patience, and honestly, we know next month isn't far off.

As sick as he is, he wanted to get a job himself, but the doctor, his wife and myself all told him it was not an option. At this point, he is not even healthy enough to survive a surgery that could have been life-saving.

I have spent the past few days trying to think of absolutely anything I could do that might help to come up with enough to give some relief until I can find another job, but I've got nothing left but tears.

Minutes ago, my son called me and said they don't even have groceries for tonight, and I am heartbroken. He is already so thin and frail (under 130 lbs and 6'1). I told him I would not let him go hungry tonight no matter what I have to do, and I am hoping for some serious help.

If you can spare anything, it would be a huge help for them. I wish I could run dinner over to them, but I live 5 hours away. If anyone is skeptical, we will be happy to give contact info for his doctor's office to verify the situation. We know people who ask for help aren't always on the up and up so we want to assure you that this is real. I wish it were all a bad dream.
