A very dear art girl was hit with her own horror the same time the covid pandemic hit us all. Fatou sall, who is the bread winner of her family including 3 young children has gone through all of her savings and cannot pay for the radiation she now needs after months of chemotherapy. Many of you know her as the tall lovely woman originally from Cameroon who weaves one of a kind hats from strips of grasses and bamboo. This is a tradition craft in her country. if you remember about 5 years ago we all had to fight when other artists insulted her publicly by saying she imported it!! She showed them pictures in her studio hand weaving with her baby strapped to her chest as she worked and they apologized.
She does Howard Alan, patti nazrony, sugarloaf, Amy amdur, and many other prestigious shows. She needs your help now to keep a roof over her head and her family secure while trying to cover medical expenses. You are all her family “art girls”. Even if you make a purely symbolic donation let’s pass on the love
