Faust family fire emergency relief
Donation protected
Hello my name is Rian Sheehan I’m representing the Faust family. As some of you may know, Ashley & Nancy have been on their own since 2006 when they unexpectedly lost their Husband/Father. In the years following, Nancy has faced some major medical issues including two major strokes that left her with permanent damage, complications, and limited use of her body. She requires 24/7 assistance. Ashley left her career in 2021 to provide full time care to her mother. It has not been an easy journey for them, it has been financially devastating with Ashley being unable to work. They have done the best they can with little to no assistance. On July 4th Nancy had to be taken to the hospital again for stroke like symptoms, they have now determined she was fighting an infection which is terribly hard on her body as she has no immune system or spleen. The hospital admitted her for a week while they tried to find placement in a rehabilitation facility. On 07/07/23 Ashley left the hospital to go home for the night. She went to bed around midnight but was alerted by her dog barking a few hours later that something was wrong. Upon getting up to see what the dog was barking at she was met with plumes of smoke and flames not far from her room. She managed to make her way out to the living room where the fire was rapidly growing. Her dog, Quentin was in his crate. Ashley burnt her thumb opening the door to let him out because the heat was already so intense. She was able to safely get out of the home with her dog and cat before calling 911. It took several trucks from different fire departments responding to the call to put out the flames. When the home was finally cleared Ashley was able to go inside for a quick look and took the photo posted. The fire marshal determined the cause of the fire to be an electrical outlet with a lamp plugged into it. It began there, spread to a chair, then throughout the home. 90% of the home has been lost leaving it inhabitable. Thankfully Nancy was not in the home at the time of the fire because of their bedroom locations and the limited response time we are certain they would not have made it out alive. After watching her home of 30 years burn down Ashley then had to go to the hospital to break the news to Nancy which required her to be medicated so she could handle the news. She was devastated as expected and is still struggling to process. Now they are faced with trying to replace daily essentials, clothing, temporary housing, and trying to rebuild their life from the ground up. Anything you can spare would be greatly appreciated during this difficult time in their lives. While donating through go fund me is the quickest way to donate, If you are not comfortable with that and would rather send to to us personally we have a P.O. Box, 21 north main st P.O.
