Fawn’s surgery fund

Well! I finally got my ducks in a row, and am going to be getting a gender affirming top surgery in just shy of two weeksssss!

I'm feeling lucky that my insurance is going to be covering most of the costs to get surgery, but there are a number of costs I am not prepared for post-op and could really use some support.

I really did not want to fundraise for this so to make it fun for me- and for y’all, I thought I could incentivize donating!

If you send 45+ dollars, I’ll make you an embroidery of your choice. Single subject would be best, plants and animals and words and objects all work. (Just write what you want in a note/ if you want it. And a way to get in contact with you if I don’t already know)

If you send 25+ dollars I’ll write you a poem on my typewriter on the topic of your choice (again just let me know if you want one, etc.)

The details:

I have some physical support from my partner who is going to stay with me, but there are accessibility challenges in my recovery space that is going to make this harder for both of us.

I am raising funds for:

~ food. Due to my lack of a real kitchen, making food is a challenge even now. To make matters worse; I also just lost my food stamps. I’m trying to raise money for prepared food delivery during the first part of recovery and groceries for when I'm able to do something with them.

~ transportation costs to and from appointments.

 ~ a number of supplies I need for recovering including lidocaine, nsaids, ice packs, pain salve, a drain belt, surgery pillows, small mattress pad - im essentially sleeping on a jail mattress, and work out equipment to stay active safely while recovering

~ a few home visit sessions with massage therapist due to chronic shoulder and back pain that will be agitated by the surgery itself & the post op limitations.

~ income loss, I won’t be able to do the gig work I have been doing which is how I pay for basic costs of living, I and will be not be able to return to work for several weeks post op.

~ if there is any left over from all that, I would use it for revisions. My surgeon says it is highly likely that I will need to do minor revisions after surgery, which would be all out of pocket and be at least a few hundred dollars
