Service Dog for Danielle
Donation protected
My name is Sarah and my daughter's name is Danielle. Danielle is 18 years old and suffers from severe anxiety and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. The stress of going out in public can put her into a psychotic seizure which can leave her incapacitated for up to 20 minutes at a time. During these seizures she has no control of her body or her mind. Danielle has dreams of going to college and pursuing a career in baking or interior design. In order to achieve these goals and be able to live a full and independent life, she needs assistance. She was recently approved through Aspen Service Dogs for a provincially trained service dog. This dog will be trained to help prevent her from going into a seizure and protecting her in the event that she does. The dog will also serve as a way to calm her anxiety and allow her to do daily tasks that the rest of us may take for granted. These service dogs cost $25,000. Danielle and our family are saving as much as we can but the sooner we can raise funds the sooner Danielle can be paired with a dog. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!
