Fay Hart's Boccia fund
Donation protected
Hi there,
I'm Fay, an athlete with Cerebral Palsy. I am a full-time wheelchair user, requiring 24 hour care. I play a sport called Boccia, a recognised Paralympic sport similar to bowls. I am currently on the Boccia England Talent Pathway and have won a number of medals at regional and national level. I find many sports are inaccesible. However, Boccia is far more than just a sport. For me, it's a lifesyle that removes the barriers that my disability presents. Although I’ve been lucky enough to have some support, there is limited funding available to support people like me. I am keen to progress to GB level, but I require support with the additional costs of the sport. This includes travel, coaching, accomodation, competition fees and training funds to help make this possible. In addition, I need some new , rather costly, Boccia Balls to enable me to continue to progress in the sport that I love. So I'm turning to the community and organisations/businesses that might be able to help me on my journey.
I appreciate finances are difficult for everyone at the moment, but any support by giving whatever you can manage would really mean the world to me.
Many thanks for taking the time to read my story.
