Support for Charlie's Medical Expenses
Donation protected
A few weeks ago we took Charlie, our beloved cat of 17 years, in to the vet due to his sudden loss of appetite. Blood work revealed he was in renal failure. This is pretty typical for elderly cats. They gave us some prescription food to help, but the doctor admitted all this could do was buy him some time. Whether that was a few days, a few weeks, or maybe even a whole year, he couldn't say.
Turns out it was just a few weeks. On Sunday, November 3rd, Charlie was put to sleep in the comfort of his own home and surrounded by those who loved him most thanks to the good people at Lap of Love .
Charlie was the first thing I was aware of every morning (yelling at me for breakfast), the last thing I was aware of every night (sleeping on my ankles, or knees, or head), and in between he was involved in EVERYTHING we were doing that we're not sure what life looks like without him in it.
We're running this campaign to try to offset some of the medical costs from the last few weeks — weekend and emergency vet bills, medication, the home visit, etc. There is a LOT going on in the world, this week more than most, so we completely understand if you'd rather put your money and attention somewhere else. Every little bit will help. Thank you for reading.
