FVCK Cancer: Roxann Mills Memorial Fund

Hello everyone. We are starting this GoFundMe on behalf of our  beloved mother Roxann Mills who is terminally ill and does not have much more time here with us. She is suffering from a very rare form of Breast Cancer called Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC) which accounts for less than 4% of all Breast Cancer cases. She was diagnosed with this dreadful disease back in October 2019 after being in remission for over a year and a half after defeating breast cancer back in 2017. Since being re-diagnosed last fall the battle has been tough. IBC is an incurable, aggressive cancer that needs to be fought with the same aggressiveness. Round after round, she underwent targeted immuno and chemotherapies. The cancer did not respond and began eating away at our mother’s body, changing her in a matter of months. In June her oncologist, who led the charge and helped save her life in 2017, advised that there was nothing else they could do for her as the treatments were doing more harm to her body than good. The decision was made to stop all treatments and let our mother live out her days being comforted by her family. In the last month her body has begun to shut down. She can no longer move on her own, swallow food, liquid, or medicines, or communicate with friends and family. Even as I type her condition continues to change and deteriorate it seems by the hour. We are asking for financial assistance to help cover the costs of the funeral memorial so we can give my mother the homecoming she wanted and deserves, as well as catch up on any outstanding bill she may owe. This is a very tough time for our family as we navigate through all of this but we want to thank you all in advance for the generosity you’ve displayed throughout this ordeal.
